They've been farming for 5 1/2 years. They first started with little to no experience, but they caught on really fast. Miguel & Fernando learned farming from trial & error, and from reading everything they could get their hands on. A good amount of experience came from a lot of seasoned farmers that consulted them.
They farm seasonal vegetables. During the fall and winter; greens, root vegetables, cauliflower, broccoli, and other winter vegetables. During spring and summer; squash, peppers, okra, peas, figs, grapes, cantaloupes, watermelons, avocados, pears, and other things.
They are a non certified organic farm. But they do practice organic methods, using certified organic pesticides, insecticidal soap, neem oil, molasses, and other organic products. They pick all of their own vegetables and it starts the day before a market. Their mission is for customers to get the freshest produce possible.
